Getting around London with a Travelcard

What you get with your Travelcard
Unlimited journeys on London Underground, local buses, Trams, Docklands Light Rail, Over-ground Trains and National Rail Services. Buy Travelcard

Choosing the right travelcard
You can purchase a travelcard for 1 day or 7 days depending on the duration of your visit. You can choose your travelcard depending on which zones you wish to enter – the London transport system covers 6 zones. To find out which zones you will need, visit our London Zones Page.

Travelcard restrictions
Day Anytime – can be used at any time on the day of validity and for any journey that starts before 04:30 the following day.

Day Off-Peak - Can be used from 09:30 Mondays to Fridays, all day Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, on the day(s) of validity and for any journey that starts before 04:30 the following day.

7 Day - Can be used for 7 days during the period of validity and for any journey that starts before 04:30 on the day following the expiry date.

Access to and from Airports You may use your Travelcard from Heathrow and London City Airports.

If you are flying into Heathrow you will need a Zone 1-6 travelcard, and you will be able to use your Travelcard straight away on the Underground (Piccadilly line).

If you are flying into London City Airport you will require a Zone 1-4 travelcard, and from the airport you will be able to use your Travelcard to board DLR services into central London.

As the following airports are outside of Zone 6, you will be required to pay for some or all of your journey into central London, depending on which service you use.
